But not to worry, you can also get a perfectly round puff-puff shape if you use the puff-puff molding techniques I will teach you here. So now, let’s see the different methods of molding puff-puff to make puff puff round easily without spending as much time while creating perfect-looking puff puffs.
How to Make Puff Puff Round – 6 Methods
With anyone of these 5 methods, you can make puff puff round and make it pretty attractive, especially when making it for sale.
Method 1: Using your hand
This is usually the puff-puff molding technique many people find difficult, and often is what many try when they want to make puff puff round. It may not be easy at first, but once you get the hang of it, you will ignore other molding methods.
The first thing to do if you want to use this method is to wash your hands thoroughly; you don’t need to dry them, though, as the water will help to lubricate your hands.
Next, scoop out a handful of batter and curve your hands into a fist, then make an opening between your thumb and forefinger, squeeze some dough through it and allow it to drop into the oil. One squeeze at a time will give you the perfect puff-puff shape; you can take another scoop of batter after exhausting the previous one.
Alternatively, instead of squeezing through the opening between your thumb and forefinger, you can also squeeze out the batter through the opposite opening, that is, between your little finger and the base of your palm.
Either way, you get your perfectly rounded puff-puff. Also, you can grab a little ball of batter with the tips of your fingers, drag it by the side of the batter bowl and drop it into your hot oil. Repeat this until all the batter is exhausted. However, this will take consistent practice to perfect.
Method 2: Using a measuring spoon
You can use this method if you have a set of measuring cups and spoons. First, dip 1 tablespoon into a small bowl of oil, then use it to scoop the puff-puff batter. Next, drop the batter into your pot of already-heated oil. Repeat the action until you have enough molded batter in your oil. And that is it; you have your perfectly rounded puff-puff.
Method 3: Using an ice cream scoop
An alternative to a measuring spoon is an ice cream scoop, so if you don’t have a measuring spoon, you can get an ice cream scoop if you have one. Dip your ice cream scoop into a small bowl of oil, then use it to scoop the puff-puff batter.
Drop the batter into your pot of already-heated oil. Repeat the action until you have enough molded batter in your oil. And that is it; you have your perfectly rounded puff-puff.
Method 4: Using a batter/dough dispenser
This is unarguably the easiest method for getting perfectly molded puff-puff. Puff-puff dispensers are efficient, hygienic, and easy to use. All you need do is, fill the dispenser with your puff-puff batter and then hold it over your pot of oil while pressing down the lever once to open the orifice through which just the right quantity of dough is released.
Once the dough is released, continue pressing down the lever intermittently until you have enough puff-puff dough in your oil. You can then refill your dispenser and repeat the process until all the batter is used up or until you have used your desired batter (in case you want to keep the remaining batter for later).

Method 5: Using an empty bottle
For this method, you only need an empty bottle of table water and a pair of kitchen scissors. Start by putting 1 tsp. Of vegetable oil into the bottle and swirl continuously to coat the inside. Then pour out the excess oil. Next, pour some puff-puff batter into the bottle, then squeeze it to get the batter out through the opening.
As your batter comes out through the opening, use kitchen scissors to cut or divide the dough into small sizes until you have enough molded dough in your oil. You can then refill your bottle with more batter and squeeze it again while cutting it into small sizes as you did before.
Method 6: Using a ziplock or nylon bag
One of the interesting things about molding puff-puff is that you can use readily available items in your kitchen to achieve your aim. For this method, you only need a ziplock or nylon bag and a pair of kitchen scissors.
First, scoop enough puff-puff batter to fill the ziplock or nylon bag, then close or tie firmly. Next, cut off a pointed tip at the bottom and squeeze the bag to get the batter out through the cut/opening.
As your batter comes out through the opening, use kitchen scissors to cut or divide the dough into small sizes until you have enough molded dough in your oil. You can then refill your ziplock bag with more batter and squeeze again while cutting into small sizes as you did before.
