Simple Meals for a Student Party

Students will never say no to food, especially when at a party. So do consider what easy, fast, and budget-friendly options you can prepare for your fellow students when you host a party. Here are some ideas for simple meals that can easily feed a crowd and won’t break the bank.

Tacos

Let’s start with everyone’s party favorite dish – tacos. These are easy, budget-friendly, and fun to make. Tacos can be anything you want them to be. Traditional tacos call for beans, ground beef or chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, grated cheese, salsa, and sour cream. However, you can create personalized tacos recipes using all kinds of other flavors and vegan alternatives. You can offer all the fillings to your guests for assembling or preparing ready dishes before they arrive.

Pasta

You can do so many things with pasta! For example, you can make lasagna, veggies, meat, or a simple pasta salad with lots of fresh herbs and veggies. The choice is yours. Remember, you can always delegate some of your homework to writepaperfor.me, so you can focus on the party and cooking.

On the other hand, you can make simple tomato (i.e., garlicky, creamy, or cherry tomato) pasta if you want a dinner party with just close friends. These dishes are so easy to make. They are hearty, fulfilling, and go perfectly with wine and friendly conversation.

Hummus

Now, hummus is not exactly a meal. However, hummus will provide enough protein and fats to keep your guests from starving while they enjoy their cocktails. In fact, you don’t even need to cook hummus if you lack time. Just purchase a large pack and think of sides to go with it. You can buy celery sticks, baby carrots, cucumbers, and other firm veggies to go along with it. Also, toasted bread or crackers will be fine additions for hummus eating.

Of course, you can also make hummus if you have an immersion blender. Buy a few cans of chickpeas, some garlic, sesame seeds, olive oil, and spices of your choice. Add everything to the blender, slowly pour the chickpeas water (don’t put it all at once), and blend.

Pizza

Pizza doesn’t have to be hard to make. However, this next option requires an oven, a pizza stove, and a large tray. You can easily buy pre-made dough or use other options like tortillas as a base. Of course, you can also make the dough the night before all by yourself. Just make sure to get the online paper help you need while dealing with lots of dough for your friends.

Having the base figured out, you may offer your guests to create personalized pizzas to their liking. Provide them with classic or special toppings for their pizzas, including but not limited to cheese, pepperoni, sausage, onions, peppers, mushrooms, olives, tomatoes, etc. Purchase some premade pizza sauces or make simple tomato sauce yourself if you want. Allow guests to assemble their own pizzas and bake them in the oven.

Baked Potato Bar

What is a fun social gathering without some kind of potatoes? Consider creating a baked potato bar to stand out and avoid the boring potato salad options. It’s quite easy and can be very fun to make together. You only need large potatoes that you can bake in an oven for about 45-60 minutes. Don’t peel them but wash them thoroughly.

While the potatoes are baking, move on to the toppings. You should have butter, sour cream, olive oil, mayonnaise, shredded cheese, bacon, beans, chili, white cheese, and finely chopped greens and veggies. Guests can load up their potatoes with their favorite toppings and finish with a nice array of sauces.

DIY Salad Bar

A salad bar just calls for a lovely summer outdoor party or a picnic. Students can shop for various greens and veggies to create numerous salad combos and exquisite natural flavors. You can’t go wrong with old-time favorites like mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, carrots, olives, and sweet onions. However, think of special additions like croutons, shredded cheese, flaxseeds and sesame seeds, oranges, and pineapples to make things extra tasty and unique. Lastly, you can’t forget about the salad dressings. Have purchased or looked for simple dressing recipes online, vegan and not, for everyone’s taste. Enjoy those summer flavors!

Bruschetta Bar

You can’t go simpler than the given recipe. Bruschetta can be a fancy but super easy snack perfect for a cocktail party. The key ingredient here is bread, or a baguette, to be precise. You can go for an artisan baguette or store-bought fresh bread.

Cut your bread into thin rounds or slices (about a finger thin) and toast them until crispy. An oven or toaster will both work fine here. While your bread is toasting, focus on the toppings. Consider your friends’ diet preferences, restrictions, and what you serve alongside bruschettas to pick the best fit.

Toppings like diced tomatoes, fresh basil and other herbs, soft white cheese, olives, roasted red peppers, thinly sliced red fish or cooked meat, and pesto, will be great options for a party bruschetta bar. Your guests can also assemble their bruschetta combinations to create unique and flavorful options.
